Public invitation for NGOs to propose a representative for a member of the Rule of Law Council

During the talks held by the Prime Minister of Montenegro in February 2019 with representatives of non-governmental organizations under the “Alliance for Europe initiative”, initiated through a wide dialogue with relevant political and social actors to raise all issues relevant to overcoming divisions, and all with a view to the full integration of Montenegro into the EU, and in accordance with Article 3 of the Decree on the election of representatives of non-governmental organizations to the working bodies of the state administration and conducting a public debate in the preparation of laws and strategies (Official Gazette of Montenegro 41/18), with the Decision on the Council for the Rule of Law (Official Gazette of Montenegro 36/19 and 46/19), the Office for European Integration in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Montenegro announces:


Reforms in field of Rule of Law are absolute priority of Montenegro's institutions

Chief Negotiator Aleksandar Drljević noted, that Rule of Law reforms, as key to further democratic development of Montenegrin society and progress in negotiations with the European Union, are an absolute priority of all Montenegrin institutions, at the beginning of a two-day meeting of the Subcommittee on Justice, Freedom and Security between Montenegrin and the European Commission representatives.
