Knowing your own history is important for European perspective of country

Culture and the arts play an important role in the development of every modern society, and European funds assistance is of great importance for the preservation and promotion of Montenegro`s cultural heritage in international contexts, it was stated during the second day of the celebration of the European Day of Cooperation in Cetinje.

This year`s European Cooperation Day is marked by a visit by students Primary School of “Đoko Prelević” and Primary School “Oktoih” and representatives of the Branch Office in Dajbabe who went to the King Nikola Museum in Cetinje and Lipska Cave.

Cross-border projects are good model for overcoming challenges on path to the EU

Numerous cross-border cooperation projects jointly implemented by the Western Balkan countries are a strong impetus to the European integration process and a way to overcome individual challenges on the way to the European Union.

On the occasion of European Cooperation Day, which celebrates the achievements and results of cross-border cooperation, an exhibition of photographs was opened at the Club Gallery in Petrović Castle in Podgorica, illustrating the results of European cooperation projects.

10th meeting of Steering Board of EUSAIR held

The 10th meeting of the Steering Board of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) was held in Belgrade on October 21/22. The meeting was attended by Director General for the European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and EUSAIR National Coordinator Jelena Burzan and Deputy Chief Negotiator - National IPA Coordinator and EUSAIR National Coordinator for EU Funds at the Office for European Integration Ivana Glišević Đurović.

The meeting of the EUSAIR Steering Board is one of the first activities under the Serbian EUSAIR Chairmanship. During this meeting, the programme and priorities of the Presidency were presented, as well as the upcoming commitments and activities.

Workshop on preparation of project proposals for IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Serbia-Montenegro 2014-2020 held in Nikšić

As part of the preparation for the Second Call for Proposals within the framework of the IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Serbia-Montenegro 2014-2020, the Office for European Integration and the Ministry of European Integration of Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme, organized a workshop for potential applicants about project proposal preparation.

Cross-border cooperation projects have contributed to the development of border areas

Through the implementation of cross-border cooperation projects, the cooperation between institutions and organizations of cross-border areas has been significantly improved and a significant number of projects have been supported in various fields.

This resulted in visible changes, especially in the fields of culture, tourism, social inclusion and economic development; this was emphasized at a two-day workshop dedicated to the exchange of experiences in the implementation of the cross-border cooperation programmes under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.

European Integration Office, as a Montenegrin National Body of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020, is pleased to inform the public and potential applicants that the Managing Authority - Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia published the 2nd Call for Proposals within this programme of European territorial cooperation.

The Programme welcomes potential applicants to submit their applications via electronic Monitoring System (eMS) until 20 December 2018 at 12:00h.

EU-funded prize for cross-border cooperation research papers

The EU-funded multi-beneficiary project ‘Cross-Border Institution Building (CBIB+) Phase II’ will publish a contest to award three prizes for research papers in relation to the cross-border cooperation programmes between beneficiary countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo1*, Montenegro and Serbia), financed under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (2007-2013 IPA).

In addition to the prize, the three best research papers will be published, on the CBIB+ Phase II project expenses, in a scientific journal in the contestant’s country of establishment and the authors of the papers will be invited to participate in a CBC Regional Consultative Forum, where they will present their research findings.

The rules of contest, application form and all the information regarding this competition will be published on 22 July 2016 on the following website: http://www.cbibplus.eu/news-and- events.

Contestants will have at least 6 months to submit research papers from the date of publication of the rules of contest. Contestants will also have a possibility to address questions or request additional information on the contest via the email address indicated in the rules of contest.

Deadline prolongation for finalization and submission of project proposals

In accordance with Guidelines for Applicants for the 1st Call for Proposals of Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020, due to the minor technical difficulties in eMS system, Managing Authority extends the deadline for finalization and submission of project proposals until 15 June 2016, 15:00 h. Please note that creation of new project proposals will not be possible from Friday 10 June 2016, 15:00h.
