Lange: Montenegro leading example when it comes to reforms in rule of law

Deputy Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted yesterday Dirk Lange, Head of Unit for Montenegro at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, on the occasion of publishing the country’s report.

“If 2014 was the year of legislation, 2015 year of institutions, than 2016 should be the year of results,” Mr Lange emphasised, adding that Montenegro represents a positive example when it comes to reforms in the rule of law.

DPM Marković thanked Mr Lange for the European Commission’s overall support in implementing reforms in Montenegro, stressing that the institutions will be focused on achieving results in judiciary and fight against organised crime and corruption in the coming period.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of EU Delegation to Montenegro Mitja Drobnic.
