Government of Montenegro announces candidacy of FM Lukšić for UN Secretary-General

At today’s session, the Government of Montenegro announced the candidacy of Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić for the post of the UN Secretary-General, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović told the press following the Cabinet meeting earlier today. Foreign Minister Lukšić will perform his current function by March 2016, PM Đukanović added.

He also announced that the Cabinet will submit to the Parliament of Montenegro a request for a vote of confidence in the Government. The Prime Minister expects the request to be filed within a period not exceeding 15 days.
