PM Đukanović meets in London with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Hoyt Brian Yee

On the sidelines of the Western Balkans Investment Forum in London, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović talked earlier today with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Hoyt Brian Yee.

The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State congratulated Prime Minister Đukanović on NATO invitation, the start of accession negotiations, as well as on having won the vote of confidence in the Parliament.

He said that Montenegro has made strong progress in the rule of law and fulfilled other obligations, which will facilitate the partners to make a decision on ratification. Hoyt Brian Yee voiced interest in Montenegro’s future plans and priorities, thus enabling the official Washington to continue providing assistance to Montenegro in the time ahead.

Prime Minister Đukanović thanked the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the United States’ assistance and support for Montenegro’s EU bid. He informed the US official about the situation in Montenegro, hopeful that its development will result in strengthening the stability, which will lead to further progress in the process of integration.

The meeting focused on the strengthening of bilateral ties. Hoyt Brian Yee voiced belief that Montenegro will become more and more secure place for the US companies and their investment.
