Prime Minister Đukanović hosts the Prince of Wales

Earlier today, Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović hosted His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, who is paying an official visit to Montenegro.

The Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government and on his own behalf, thanked the Prince of Wales for visiting Montenegro in the year when it is celebrating the first decade of restoration of independence, and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Đukanović noted that the visit of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall to Montenegro and countries in the region contributes to further improvement of relations with the United Kingdom. He also referred to the dynamic economic and democratic development of Montenegro and its progress towards NATO and the EU, satisfied that it has been recognised as a reliable partner in promoting European and Euro-Atlantic values in the region. At the same time, he thanked the Prince of Wales for the overall bilateral support provided by the United Kingdom and the excellent cooperation in various fields, especially when it comes to the rule of law. and reform of the military and defence sectors. PM Đukanović also voiced the Montenegrin Government’s commitment to developing economic relations and creating favourable conditions for attracting tourists and investors from the United Kingdom.
