The Center for Creative Skills from Berane, in partnership with the NGO Šansa, organized a roundtable dedicated to the role of youth in Montenegro’s European integration process. The event was held within the framework of the project “Our Voice for Europe”, supported by the Ministry of European Affairs.
The event brought together representatives of youth, the education sector, and civil society, who jointly discussed how young people can become more active carriers of European values and social change in their community.
During the discussion, participants emphasized that European integration is much more than a political process and represents an opportunity to strengthen democratic standards, the rule of law, and solidarity. Special attention was given to the challenges faced by young people, as well as the ways in which they can contribute to Montenegro’s development through participation in public policies, volunteering, innovation, and cultural initiatives.
The roundtable served as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, as well as for creating new partnerships between youth and institutions. Participants agreed on the necessity of strengthening information and education programs about the European Union, and that young people should be genuinely involved in decision-making processes that affect their future.
It was concluded that Montenegro’s future is inseparably linked to Europe’s future, and that youth are precisely the key drivers of change and the guarantee that European values such as solidarity, freedom, and tolerance will be the foundation of shared social development.
