Good spirits, teamwork, and engaging questions marked the final edition of the European Pub Quiz in Berane, bringing to a close a tour across several Montenegrin cities. After Podgorica, Nikšić, Bar, Budva, and Bijelo Polje, the final quiz gathered participants who collectively wrapped up a series of events that included 62 teams and around 250 competitors across Montenegro.
Through dynamic rounds, teams tested their knowledge of the European Union, its Member States, culture, history, and interesting facts, while also showing that positive energy and togetherness are just as important as the final result. The European Pub Quiz tour once again confirmed strong interest in formats that successfully combine education and entertainment, contributing to a more vibrant social life in cities across Montenegro.

In Berane, first place was won by team “23,” while teams “84300” and “Vasojevići” placed in the middle and at the bottom of the table, confirming that the quiz was, above all, an opportunity for socializing and a great atmosphere.
“This quiz was very interesting. I think it is something very important for our youth, because they do not learn enough about the European Union, Montenegro’s integration, and Euro-Atlantic integration in general, so this quiz is an excellent initiative,” emphasized quiz participant Marko Vulević.

Participant Nikola Marković added that he would like to see more similar events in Montenegro: “It’s creative, and that makes going out more relaxed.”
The Ministry of European Affairs stated that the goal of such initiatives is to bring European integration closer to citizens through a different, more direct format.

“Through the European Pub Quiz, we wanted to talk about the European Union and the process of European integration in a way that is closer to citizens — through play, team spirit, and an informal atmosphere. The turnout in all cities shows that there is strong interest in this kind of content, but also that it contributes to a better understanding of European topics and the accession process itself. Our goal is for Montenegro to become the 28th member of the European Union, and formats like this help bring that path closer to citizens and make it more understandable,” the Ministry stated.
The European Pub Quiz was organized by the Ministry of European Affairs and the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, through the EU4ME and European House projects, in cooperation with quiz author Zoran Miljanić.
