The Ministry of European Affairs presents a new digital platform for the campaign “28by28 – The Next Member of the European Union,” which positions Montenegro as a credible future member of the European Union and a reliable partner on the international stage, intended for the international public, i.e. citizens of the EU.
The platform is part of a broader communication strategy aimed at citizens of EU member states, through which Montenegro clearly articulates its ambition to become the 28th member of the European Union by 2028.
The website 28by28.eu functions as a digital window into Montenegro – a country that simultaneously implements demanding reforms and builds the image of a stable, reliable, and promising European state. Through a unified political, economic, and social context, the platform positions Montenegro as the most advanced candidate for membership, but also as a place of significant investment opportunities, tourism development, and sustainable economic growth.
The campaign “28by28 – The Next Member of the European Union” has a clearly defined goal – to present to the European public not only Montenegro’s progress, but also the concrete benefits that its membership would bring to the European Union. The focus is on direct communication with citizens of member states, including the large number of tourists from the EU who visit Montenegro every year.
Particular emphasis is placed on positioning Montenegro as a country that contributes to regional stability and the credibility of enlargement policy, as well as a country that offers concrete opportunities for partnerships and investments, based on European standards and a predictable business environment. The website is available in English and French.
Through a coordinated and proactive approach, Montenegro clearly positions itself as a credible and ready future member of the European Union – a country that not only progresses in negotiations, but also actively builds partnerships with European citizens.
