UK Foreign Secretary meets with Western Balkans leaders

Prior to today’s Western Balkans Investment Summit hosted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, the prime ministers of the countries from the region met with the UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond.

Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović took the opportunity to thank Britain for their support to the decision to invite Montenegro to join NATO, as well as for the UK’s assistance to Montenegro in the EU accession talks and implementation of domestic reforms.

Prime Minister Đukanović invited Secretary Hammond to pay a visit to Montenegro in 2016.

The UK’s Minister of State for Trade and Investment Francis Maude also took part in the meeting.
