A competitive atmosphere, team coordination, and questions from various fields marked the European Pub Quiz in Budva. Through several rounds, participants tested their knowledge of the European Union, its Member States, culture, history, and interesting facts. Eight teams took part in the quiz, and the competition was based on teamwork and quick agreement on answers within each team.
The team Pregaoci won the highest number of points, but prizes were also awarded to the team in the middle of the scoreboard – fourth-placed Podkošljunci – as well as to one of the lower-ranked teams, seventh-placed Botunjani. Participants also shared their impressions.
“I’m honestly very satisfied, especially considering this is only my second time ever playing a quiz. I came here at my brother’s initiative, and through teamwork we achieved this result. We’re really happy and pleased. The questions were not easy at all. At the beginning they were easier, but as the game progressed, they became more difficult. Still, through teamwork we managed to achieve this result,” said Nives Savić from team Pregaoci.
Participant Sergej Stojanovski also shared his impressions of the quiz and said he would recommend this experience to everyone.
“My impressions are very positive. I expected more difficult questions. In any case, it was interesting and competitive. I love pub quizzes and would recommend all my friends to come and take part,” said participant Sergej Stojanovski.
Quiz enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to test their knowledge and socialize at upcoming editions to be held in Berane and Bijelo Polje.
The European Pub Quiz is organized by the Ministry of European Affairs and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, through the projects EU4ME and European House, in cooperation with the quiz author Zoran Miljanić, with the aim of bringing information about the European Union closer to citizens in an accessible and engaging way. So far, the quiz has been held in Podgorica, Nikšić, and Bar.
