In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Media, Antena M has launched a project aimed at protecting women’s rights, promoting gender equality, and combating sexism.
The project, which carries the slogan “Strong Woman, Strong State,” seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of women’s rights.
The central theme of the interviews is a message to young, self-aware, and emancipated women. Through these interviews, well-known public figures will share their perspectives on the importance of fighting for gender equality and the position of women in modern society.
The project also plans to include ten short interviews with celebrities.
The initiative has been supported by the Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević.
“I am especially pleased with any action that raises awareness about the importance of fighting sexism, which is deeply rooted in Montenegrin everyday life and often accepted as an unchangeable reality. The media and institutions bear a special responsibility to eliminate misogynistic narratives from public discourse and to clearly identify and label them as socially unacceptable. I support this project because gender equality is not a privilege but a fundamental prerequisite for a dignified life,” said Gorčević.
