The Interreg Euro-Mediterranean Programme 2021–2027 has launched the sixth call for the submission of project proposals, which is exclusively targeted at selected study projects from the Second Call.
Selected study projects will have the opportunity to move from the study phase to the testing phase of already achieved results. Based on the results achieved and successful implementation, four projects have been selected: Carbon_4_Soil_Quality, GREENMO, MAST and SMITour. Their topics cover the following missions: Protecting, restoring and enhancing the environment and natural heritage; Enhancing green living areas; and Enhancing sustainable tourism.
These projects will have the opportunity to include new partners in the next phase of their projects. In accordance with the call conditions, the partnership must consist of a minimum of five partners from five different countries of the programme area. Projects must retain their lead partners and two partners that were part of the partnership during the study phase.
The indicative financial allocation for this call amounts to approximately EUR 8 million, of which EUR 6.4 million are EU funds. The estimated financial value per project is around EUR 2 million.
The application period is open from 8 January until 13:00 on 27 February 2026 and will be conducted in a single step through the JEMS platform. The deadline for submitting the mandatory annexes accompanying the application process is 13 March 2026, while the results of the Call are expected in April of the current year.

The Interreg Euro-MED Programme area covers the EU Member States of Bulgaria, France, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain, as well as EU candidate countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
