Soon: Third Call for Project Proposals under the Danube Region Programme

The third call for project proposals under the Danube Region Programme will officially open in September 2025, with a preliminary announcement expected in June. This decision was made during the Monitoring Committee meeting held on May 13–14 in Prague.

The third call will cover the following specific objectives:

1.2 Developing skills for smart specialisation, industrial transition, and entrepreneurship;

2.1 Greening the energy and transport sectors in the Danube Region through enhanced integration of renewable energy sources;

2.2 Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster management at the transnational level;

2.3 Sustainable, integrated, and transnational management of water and sediments in the Danube River Basin;

3.1 Accessible, inclusive, and effective labour markets;

3.2 Accessible and inclusive quality services in education, training, and lifelong learning;

4.2 Enhanced institutional capacities for territorial and macro-regional governance.

These specific objectives will be focused on pre-defined topics. The Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Programme are currently finalizing the targeted values, which are expected to be announced by the end of June.

The selection criteria for this call will remain unchanged. The maximum project duration will be 30 months.
