In accordance with the provision of Article 12 of the Regulation on the Selection of Representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations in Working Bodies of State Administration Authorities and the Implementation of Public Debate in the Preparation of Laws and Strategies (“Official Gazette of Montenegro”, No. 41/18), the Ministry of European Affairs issues a
PUBLIC CALL
to authorities, organizations, associations, and individuals to participate in the initial phase of preparing the revised Montenegro EU Accession Program (hereinafter: MEAP) and to submit their initiatives, proposals, suggestions, and comments in written and electronic form to the Ministry of European Affairs at the address: Bulevar Ivana Crnojevića 167, 81000 Podgorica, or by email: granica.kovacevic@mep.gov.me.
Considering the dynamics of the negotiation process and the need to align national legislation with the acquis of the European Union, the Ministry of European Affairs, as the coordinator of Montenegro’s EU accession process, has undertaken the revision of the MEAP, which will plan further alignment with the EU acquis within the framework of 33 negotiation chapters.
In the consultative process of revising the document, priorities may be proposed regarding the closure of negotiation chapters and further alignment of legislation with the EU acquis.
Consultation with the interested public is carried out in the initial phase of preparing the MEAP and will last 15 days from the date of publication of the public call on the Ministry of European Affairs’ website (https://www.gov.me/mep), the e-Government portal https://www.euprava.me, and the portal www.eu.me.
The Ministry of European Affairs will carefully consider all received initiatives, proposals, suggestions, and comments during the preparation of the revised MEAP. In addition, they will be duly recorded, and after the consultation period, a report will be prepared containing an overview of the consultation participants and a summary of the received initiatives, proposals, suggestions, and comments. This report will be published on the Ministry’s website https://www.gov.me/mep and the e-Government portal https://www.euprava.me/ and provided to the consultation participants within seven days after the end of the 15-day consultation period.
