The Ministry of European Affairs has published the eighteenth edition of Eurokaz magazine.
Through its various sections, Eurokaz presents the latest developments in Montenegro’s EU accession negotiations, the results of the reforms being implemented as part of the accession process, and successful examples of the use of EU funds.
Contributors to Eurokaz include representatives of the Government of Montenegro, the European Union, journalists from Montenegrin print and electronic media, as well as representatives of local governments, the business community, and civil society organisations.
This edition features an authored article by Dr Filip Ivanović, Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, as well as an interview with the Ambassador of Ireland, Kevin Colgan.
The magazine also includes articles on Montenegro’s Reform Agenda for the period 2024–2027, the drafting of Montenegro’s EU Accession Treaty, and the benefits that Chapters 1 and 2—covering the free movement of goods and workers—bring to citizens and businesses.
In addition, we explore Montenegro’s preparations for the European Union’s Cohesion Policy and the development of institutions capable of transforming European funding into tangible development projects and measurable benefits for citizens.
This issue also features a story on the proposed Natura 2000 ecological network, adopted by the Government of Montenegro, which represents one of the country’s key obligations under Chapter 27 of the EU accession negotiations.
In Eurokaz, we also present the project Equal in the Process, Equal in the Future, implemented by the Union of the Blind of Montenegro with the financial support of the Ministry of European Affairs. The project aims to bring the process of Montenegro’s accession to the European Union and the rights guaranteed under EU policies on inclusion and equality closer to persons with disabilities, particularly people with visual impairments.
The eighteenth edition also highlights the project Lake Skadar Basin – Cross-Border Biosphere Reserve, the result of successful cross-border cooperation between Montenegro and Albania.
The magazine also covers the celebration of Europe Day, organised by the Ministry of European Affairs in seven Montenegrin municipalities, with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro through the EU4ME project, in cooperation with local governments, schools, and cultural institutions.
