Drljevic met Gasparikova with the progress in the EU accession process, stressing that the number of open chapters is a reason for satisfaction, but also an incentive to meet demanding obligations in the further course of negotiations.

“We are also ready to open the remaining unopened chapter – Competition, but also to close more of them, with which we will enter one of the final stages of the negotiation process. I believe that, even after the elections for the European Parliament, the EU enlargement will remain the dominant policy of the Union, which will give the whole region additional motivation to accelerate the dynamics and maintain the quality of reforms”, the Chief Negotiator said.
