Official opening of the Kolašin promenade

State Secretary for European affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, Head of Unit for Montenegro at DG Enlargement Dirk Lange, and Kolašin Mayor Željka Vuksanović opened the new promenade in Kolašin.

The promenade construction has been part of the project entitled Support to local government reform phase I and II (IPA 2008 and IPA 2010), which aims at supporting local government units in improving their infrastructure and building capacities for preparing and undertaking investment projects. The total value of the project is around EUR 554 thousand of which 285 thousand come from IPA funds.

Local government support programmes are an important preparation for using the EU structure funds and they contribute to better governance and service provision to citizens and the private sector.
