The eighteenth meeting of the Subcommittee on Economic and Financial Affairs and Statistics will be held on Thursday, 20 November 2025, in Podgorica, in a hybrid format.
The meeting will be opened by the Chief Negotiator Predrag Zenović, and co-chaired by the State Secretary of the Ministry of European Affairs, Bojana Bošković, on the Montenegrin side, and Kristof Zurek from the European Commission Directorate-General for Enlargement and Neighbourhood, and Andras Tari from the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, on the European side.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to review the progress achieved in the areas covered by Chapters 17 – Economic and Monetary Union, 18 – Statistics, 32 – Financial Supervision, 33 – Financial and Budgetary Provisions, as well as the overall economic progress of the country compared to the previous Subcommittee meeting held on 19 November 2024, and to exchange views on macroeconomic and fiscal trends and issues related to improving public finance management.
Representatives of Montenegrin institutions will present the achieved results, current, and planned activities in terms of aligning national legislation with the EU acquis and strengthening administrative capacities, and will exchange views with colleagues from the European Commission regarding the fulfillment of requirements arising from the European agenda in the areas covered by these chapters.
