The Nineteenth Meeting of the Subcommittee on Trade, Industry, Customs and Taxation between the EU and Montenegro will be held in a hybrid format in Podgorica, at the University Sports and Cultural Centre – Multimedia Hall (Baku Street No. 1).
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, starting at 09:00.
The meeting will be opened on the Montenegrin side by the Chief Negotiator of Montenegro with the European Union, Predrag Zenović, and co-chaired by the Head of the Negotiating Working Group for Chapter 30 – External Relations, Aida Ceković, while on behalf of the European Commission it will be addressed by co-chair Kristof Zurek from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood.
The meeting will review progress achieved in the areas covered by Chapter 1 – Free Movement of Goods, Chapter 16 – Taxation, Chapter 20 – Enterprise and Industrial Policy, Chapter 29 – Customs Union, and Chapter 30 – External Relations, compared to the previous Subcommittee meeting held on 7 July 2025.
Representatives of Montenegrin institutions will present achieved results, ongoing activities, and planned measures related to the alignment of national legislation with the EU acquis and the strengthening of administrative capacities, and will exchange views with European Commission colleagues on the fulfilment of requirements stemming from the European agenda in the areas covered by these chapters.
