How well do young people know the European Union, its values and the opportunities brought by the European integration process? We will discuss these topics on 9 September in Plav, through an educational programme that brings together representatives of local governments and secondary school students.
The first part of the programme will be dedicated to representatives of the municipalities of Plav and Gusinje, who will have the opportunity to learn more about the European Union, Montenegro’s accession process and topics of importance to local communities through a lecture and discussion with Biljana Papović, State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs.
Afterwards, the “EU in Your School” quiz will be held at the “Bećo Bašić” Secondary Mixed School in Plav, through which students will interactively test and expand their knowledge of the European Union. The quiz will be preceded by a short introductory lecture on the basic principles, values and functioning of the EU.
Prizes have been provided for the students who achieve the best results in the quiz.
The event is organised as part of the “Empowering Municipalities for European Action 2026” initiative, implemented by the Ministry of European Affairs with the financial support of the European Union through the EU4ME project, in cooperation with the municipalities of Plav and Gusinje.
