The European Pub Quiz has set off on a tour across Montenegro, with the new edition starting last night in Nikšić. In a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, 12 teams with around 40 participants tested their general knowledge, as well as their knowledge of the European Union, its member states, culture, history and sport.
The best results were achieved by the team “Barney Gumble”, while second and third place were taken by the teams “Bibi Dixi Supervixi” and “Erasmus”. The winners did not hide their enthusiasm.
“The impression is great, the atmosphere is excellent, the organization was really at a very high level. We had a great time and it was a lot of fun, and we are very satisfied,” said Nikola Đurović from the winning team Barney Gumble.
The European Pub Quiz was also an opportunity to refresh existing knowledge and learn something new.
“We already knew a lot about the European Union, its organization and how it functions, but there was also a lot that we learned tonight that we didn’t know before, so we will use that in some future quiz,” explained Ksenija Miletić from the winning team Barney Gumble.
The quiz was jointly organized by the Ministry of European Affairs and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, through the EU4ME and Europe House projects, in cooperation with the quiz author Zoran Miljanić.
The European Pub Quiz aims to promote European values and knowledge about the European Union in a fun and interactive way, through play, socializing and team spirit. The audience and competitors once again showed that learning about Europe can be interesting, competitive and filled with positive energy.
The tour continues—the next quiz stop is Podgorica on 19 November, and quiz enthusiasts in Bar, Bijelo Polje, Budva and Berane will also soon have the opportunity to test their knowledge.
