Obtaining a positive IBAR gave new momentum and new energy to Montenegro’s European path, both to the state administration and the negotiation structure, as well as to the entire social community, said chief negotiator Predrag Zenović at the meeting with Estonian ambassador Raul Tomas.
Chief negotiator Zenović emphasized the significance of the enlargement process, which is based on merit, and he informed the ambassador about plans for Montenegro to close four negotiation chapters by the end of the year and become the 28th member of the EU by 2028.
“Montenegro needs expert support from Estonia, particularly in the area of digitization and cyber security. It would be very useful for us to help with the use of artificial intelligence during translation and technical harmonization with EU directives in the field of information security”, said Zenović.
Ambassador Tomas expressed his full support for the European Union enlargement process and praised the efforts that Montenegro is making on its European path. He emphasized the significance of the enlargement of the European Union in the current geopolitical context.
“The strengthened bilateral dialogue between our two countries will further strengthen the European path of Montenegro. Estonia’s support is guaranteed, especially in the field of cyber security,” said Tomas.
