CALL FOR THE BEST JOURNALISTIC STORY ON NEGOTIATION CHAPTERS WITHIN THE “28TO28” CAMPAIGN

The Ministry of European Affairs, with financial support from the European Union through the EU4ME project, is announcing a call for the best journalistic stories on negotiation chapters in Montenegro’s EU accession process. The call is organized within the “28to28” campaign, which aims to bring closer to the public the importance of closing negotiation chapters and achieving full readiness for membership in the European Union.

Eligibility

The call is open to journalists from all Montenegrin media outlets – television, radio stations, print media, and online portals – regardless of whether they are local or national, or of their ownership structure.

Topics

Journalistic stories should cover one or more of the following negotiation chapters, through concrete examples, interviews, analyses, and stories that help citizens understand the importance of closing chapters and the benefits this process brings to individuals as well as to society as a whole:

  • Chapter 7 – Intellectual Property Law (copyright protection, support for innovation and creative industries)
  • Chapter 10 – Information Society and Media (development of digital infrastructure, online safety, better accessibility of media content)
  • Chapter 20 – Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy (support for entrepreneurs, easier business registration, strengthening the industrial sector)
  • Chapter 5 – Public Procurement (implementation of electronic public procurement)

Format and Submission

Stories may be submitted in video, audio, or text format and must be published in the media outlet where the author works during the call period: from 22 April to 6 June 2025, by 1:00 p.m.

Published stories should be sent by email to andjela.pantovic@mep.gov.me with the subject line:
“Application for the Call for the Best Story on Montenegro’s European Integration.”
