Open call for new members of the Adriatic-Ionian Youth Council (EUSAIR)

Are you a motivated young person with a vision for the future of the Adriatic-Ionian region? Are you between 18 and 29 years old, fluent in English, and living in the Adriatic-Ionian region? If so, we invite you to apply for the EUSAIR Youth Council.

The EUSAIR Youth Council is looking for motivated individuals committed to shaping the future of the Adriatic and Ionian region. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of policies and strategies that will influence the region in the years to come.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Permanent residence in one or more of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece, North Macedonia, and Slovenia
  • Age between 18 and 29 (at the time of application)
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Not currently a member of the EUSDR or EUSALP Youth Council at the time of application

Selection criteria:

A fully completed application form and a motivation letter submitted on time.

Selection process:

After submission of the application form and motivation letter, the EUSAIR Facility Point will verify eligibility. Only candidates who meet the requirements will be further considered. After evaluation of motivation letters, candidates who score at or above the threshold will be proposed for selection by the Facility Point, ensuring diversity in terms of country, gender, location (urban or rural), interests, and age. The EUSAIR Governing Board will confirm the final list of new members of the EUSAIR Youth Council.

Expected commitments:

  • Commitment to a one-year mandate (with the possibility of two renewals), starting in autumn 2026
  • Participation in capacity-building activities at the beginning of the mandate
  • Meetings several times a year, both online and in person
  • Active participation in meetings of EUSAIR governing bodies
  • Engagement and exchange with young people, youth and/or civil society organizations and networks in the region
  • Promotion of EUSAIR in the region with the support of EUSAIR governing bodies
  • Exchange with young people from other macro-regions

Only online applications submitted by 13 May 2026 at 12:00 will be considered.
