Hungary Fully Supports Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic Path

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić recieved today the Hungarian Ambassador to Montenegro Krisztián Pósa. They discussed Hungary’s new role as NATO contact point embassy in Montenego.

Ambassador Pósa presented Hungary’s goals in providing the contact point embassy and expressed a deep conviction that the cooperation between two countries would only be strengthened in the near future. He reiterated Hungary’s full support for Montenegro’s integrative processes.

Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić expressed his gratitude over the timely initiative on the Hungarian part and anticipated a number of obligation which Montenegro would need to take up in order to complete the reforms in four key areas, including enhancing public support. Deputy Prime Minister was pleased that Hungarians were willing to share with the Montenegrin public their experience as a NATO member state.

Deputy Prime Minister stressed once more the importance of Euro-Atlantic integrations not only for Montenegro but for the whole region.
