67 projects were approved within the First Call of the Interreg IPA ADRION program

At the 8th meeting of the Committee for Monitoring the IPA Adriatic-Ionian Program (Interreg IPA ADRION), held in Zagreb on 19th and 20th of February 2024, 67 project proposals submitted as part of the First Call were approved for financing.

These are projects  aspiring to encourage capacity building in the field of innovation, support initiatives dedicated to environmental protection, promote circular economy and the development of multimodal forms of transport in the Adriatic-Ionian region.

Among the approved projects there are 61 Montenegrin institutions and organizations, which participated in 54 approved projects. The total amount of funds received for Montenegrin partners is around 8.5 million euros, which is twice as much compared to the entire previous financial perspective 2014-2020.

It is expected that the project contracting procedure will be completed by September 2024.

The Ministry of European Affairs congratulates all selected partners and wishes them success in the project implementation.
