EU Day at Podgorica Bazaar with Mini Concert by Snežana Ljubojević

The Ministry of European Affairs and the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, in partnership with the Capital City of Podgorica and through the EU projects EU4ME and European House, are organizing EU Day at the Podgorica Bazaar on Saturday, 20 December, at Independence Square, from 11:00 to 14:00.

The first edition of this event will feature a diverse and dynamic program, with special attention on Snežana Ljubojević, a vocalist of exceptional warmth who has recently won the hearts of audiences across the region with her emotion and voice.

“EU Day at the Podgorica Bazaar” is designed as a gathering that combines art, entertainment, and knowledge – offering many opportunities for children, youth, and adults to discover, through easily understandable and interactive content, the values that make up the European community. We invite all citizens to join us and celebrate the first edition of this event in an atmosphere of good energy, music, creativity, and engaging experiences for the whole family,” said the organizers.

The event will be opened by the Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević, and the President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, followed by performances by the Vokalisti Choir under the direction of Saša Barjaktarović and the Children’s Choir JU “Zahumlje” with conductor Ivana Popović. The audience will enjoy well-known European pop and rock songs, while the artistic program will be complemented by a creative workshop for children, “Super Zvjezdana through Drawing Class.”

The youngest visitors will again have a special corner with EU games led by Žarko Žapac, who, together with representatives of the Ministry of European Affairs, will engage children in a fun way to explain what it means to be part of the European community and what EU membership brings to Montenegro.

For technology enthusiasts, the Pollinator Park will be available, a futuristic virtual reality depiction of the world of pollinators. Visitors will discover the importance of bees and other species for the ecosystem and how the perfect connection between plants and their “small helpers” functions.

Throughout the event, the EU house will also be open, featuring a fun knowledge quiz, with prizes for the most successful participants.
