With the aim of providing integrated knowledge in the areas of the EU negotiation process, international relations, European integration and access to European funds, as well as developing skills in political and public communication, the Ministry of European Affairs announces the

for students in the field of social sciences to participate in the practical training programme at the Ministry of European Affairs.
I CONDITIONS
The programme is intended exclusively for final-year undergraduate students and final-year master’s students at accredited universities and faculties in Montenegro, in the field of social sciences.
II REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Applications are submitted electronically and must include:
- a duly completed online form
- a scanned certificate confirming regular enrolment in undergraduate/master studies (submitted electronically through the form)
- a certificate of the grade point average from the previous cycle of studies (submitted electronically through the form)
- a motivation letter (submitted electronically through the form)
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

IV PROGRAMME CONTENT
The practical training programme includes the engagement of participants in various organizational units of the Ministry, with professional mentoring support. The programme enables participants to:
gain practical experience and actively participate in the work of employees, and they will also have the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with the responsibilities of the Chief Negotiator and the Minister. They will participate in drafting reports, analyses, materials for negotiations, preparing meetings and reporting to the EU. The learning process will be dynamic and comprehensive, enabling participants to complete the programme with a clear understanding of how public administration functions, how negotiations with the EU proceed, and how international funds are used for economic and social development. At the end of the internship, during a discussion with the Minister, students will have the opportunity to share their impressions of the programme and the EU integration process, as well as to actively ask questions about Montenegro’s future EU accession prospects.
The programme is carried out through weekly rotations across the organizational units of the Ministry.
V TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Ranking will be carried out by a special commission of the Ministry, established by the Minister of European Affairs.
Candidate ranking, based on which the top 10 will be selected, will be conducted according to the cumulative grade point average from the previous cycle of studies (50%) and the candidate’s motivation (50%), assessed based on the interview and the submitted motivation letter.
After the submission of applications, candidate evaluation and interviews are scheduled to take place from Monday, 8 December to 12 December 2025.
Selected candidates will receive a certificate of successful completion of the practical training programme at the Ministry of European Affairs.
The total duration of the practical training is 9 weeks, starting in January 2026.
The practical training programme at the Ministry of European Affairs is unpaid.
This programme is designed so that four thematic units are covered over nine weeks:
- The negotiation process and EU accession
- Funds and financial assistance
- European integration and regional cooperation
- Work in public administration, communication and management of EU integration
