Young people from Herceg Novi and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to learn more about opportunities for studying abroad, student exchanges and international volunteering programmes at the event “EU Opportunities for Youth”, which will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 12:00, in the lobby of SC Igalo in Herceg Novi.
During the event, representatives of the Erasmus Office and the organization ADP-Zid will present programmes that enable young people to study or stay abroad through student exchanges, as well as participate in international volunteering programmes and internships.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about application requirements, available programmes and practical steps for participation in these initiatives, as well as to ask questions and receive first-hand advice.
The Ministry of European Affairs emphasized that mobility and exchange programmes represent an important opportunity that the process of European integration brings to young people.
“Young people are at the centre of European policies, and it is precisely through exchange, study and volunteering programmes that they have the opportunity to gain new knowledge, learn about different cultures and develop skills important for their personal and professional future. Our goal is for as many young people from Montenegro as possible to be informed about and encouraged to use these opportunities,” the Ministry of European Affairs stated.
The Secretariat for Social Activities and International Cooperation of the Municipality of Herceg Novi stated that the goal of this initiative is to bring European programmes closer to young people and encourage them to later apply the experience gained abroad within their community.
“Through activities like this we want to empower young people and encourage them to use the opportunities offered by European mobility programmes. The knowledge, experience and skills they gain during their stay abroad can make an important contribution to the development of Herceg Novi and the local community,” the Secretariat stated.
The event “EU Opportunities for Youth” is organized within the initiative “Empowering Municipalities for European Action 2026”, which is part of the EU4ME project, and is being held during the Mimoza Cup, as part of the Mimosa Festival programme.
