At the archaeological site Gradac, tourist equipment has been successfully completed within the project “InclUSivE HERITAGE – Sustainable Cultural Tourism in Hinterlands”, whose lead partner is the Polim Museum from Berane. The project is implemented through the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro, with financial support from the European Union.
The Gradac site has been further improved by the construction of a panoramic terrace (observation deck), measuring 3.5 x 8 meters, made of high-quality white pine wood.
“The terrace is equipped with two spacious benches measuring 270 cm in length, which provide comfort and space for rest for all visitors. Additionally, an information board has been installed, presenting the natural and cultural values of this exceptional site to guests in a modern and accessible way,” representatives of the Polim Museum state.

As emphasized, special attention was given to the positioning of the terrace – it is located below the architectural remains, thereby uniquely integrating the natural landscape and the rich cultural heritage of Gradac.
“This solution allows visitors to simultaneously enjoy the view of untouched nature and directly experience the history of the site, as the terrace points to both segments of the area. The new facilities significantly improve the stay at Gradac, raising the quality of the tourist offer to a higher level and making the site even more attractive for all lovers of history, nature and active holidays. The panoramic terrace and information board complement the archaeological site, creating a space where the past and present meet in the best possible way,” the Polim Museum states.

The aim of the project “InclUSivE HERITAGE – Sustainable Cultural Tourism in Hinterlands” is the development of sustainable and inclusive tourism, improvement of accessibility and promotion of cultural heritage in rural areas.
“Thanks to the support of the European Union, Gradac is becoming an example of how modern standards can be successfully applied in the valorization and protection of local values. We appeal to all visitors and citizens to preserve the new panoramic terrace, information board and the entire site, so that Gradac can be a place of meeting, learning and enjoyment for present and future generations,” representatives of the Polim Museum emphasize.
