Dear readers,
It is with great pleasure that I present you the very first edition of Montenegro: 28th by 2028, a new communication channel dedicated to keeping you informed on Montenegro’s progress toward European Union membership.
Through this newsletter, we aim to present clear and concise updates on our alignment with the EU acquis, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the steps we’re taking to meet the obligations of the negotiation process. Our intention is to offer an open window into Montenegro’s reform efforts, showcase the commitment of our institutions, and highlight areas where cooperation with EU partners has been instrumental.
In this inaugural issue, we focus on Chapter 5 – Public Procurement, a key area where Montenegro has demonstrated substantial alignment with EU standards, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and fair competition in public spending.
As we look ahead to our goal of becoming the EU’s next (28th) member by 2028, we believe that transparency and communication are as important as policy reforms.
