OPPORTUNITIES. DEVELOPMENT. INTEGRATION: Montenegrin Economy Ahead of New Chapters

The Ministry of European Affairs, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, and with the support of the Delegation of the European Union through the EU4ME project, is organizing a panel discussion titled “OPPORTUNITIES. DEVELOPMENT. INTEGRATION: the Montenegrin economy ahead of new chapters,” which will be held on 27 November at 10 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, ahead of the closing of Chapters 3 (Right of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services), 4 (Free Movement of Capital), and 6 (Company Law).

The panel is organized within the “28to28” campaign, and opening remarks will be delivered by: Maida Gorčević, Minister of European Affairs; Nina Drakić, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro; Nik Gjeloshaj, Minister of Economic Development; and Milica Adžić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance.

The first panel will focus on the effects of closing the chapters related to the economy, particularly their impact on the business environment — from regulatory changes to new development opportunities. Speakers on the panel “OPPORTUNITIES. DEVELOPMENT. INTEGRATION: Advantages and Challenges of Chapters 3 and 4” will be: Ivona Savićević, Head of the Negotiating Working Group for Chapter 3; Bojana Bošković, State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs and Head of the Negotiating Working Group for Chapter 4; Tomislav Njegovan from the Croatian Chamber of Economy; and Tomo Knežević from TiM Consulting.

The second panel is dedicated to Company Law, specifically the advantages and challenges of closing Chapter 6. Participants include: Renata Milutinović, Head of the Negotiating Working Group for Chapter 6; Dijana Raičković, former judge of the Commercial Court and the Court of Appeal; and Ljudmila Popović Kavaja, ONE Montenegro.

Numerous business representatives from across Montenegro will attend the panel, with the opportunity to ask questions directly to the members of the negotiating structures.

We invite media representatives to follow the event and confirm attendance via email: ana.palibrk@eu4me.me or by phone at 067 220 614.
